This home was built for a prominent sports personality, set within one of the city’s most sought-after residential communities. The brief called for a residence that could balance a public figure’s need for privacy and functionality with an uncompromising finish.
The layout was designed around purpose. A dedicated basement houses utilities, a private office, and a gym — keeping the floors above entirely reserved for living. Bedrooms, living, and dining spaces occupy the upper levels, creating a clear separation between work and home.
JJ Constructions delivered the project from foundation through to the final stages of interior fit-out — a full-build scope with complete accountability at every phase.
The material palette sets this home apart. Exposed brick and polished cement plaster feature across ceilings and select walls, giving the interiors a raw, considered character. Black slate flooring runs throughout, grounding the spaces with depth and texture. Narrow brick cladding, rustic slate, and smooth cement plaster work together to create a finish that feels deliberate — neither overly ornate nor minimal.
The outcome is a home with a strong identity. The material choices reflect a confident design sensibility — one that favours craft and texture over convention.
